This years’ Summer Celebration was an extra special one, marking 25 years of McDermotts.
It was an afternoon filled with lots of games including a climbing wall, target axe throwing, target archery shooting, a bouncy castle, basketball, swipe out, giant hoopla, an obstacle course and giant garden games. Not forgetting the amazing face painters, coconut shy, a soft play area for toddlers, a balloon modeller and a petting zoo.
To keep our energy levels up during the afternoon there plenty of food to choose from including pizzas freshly baked in a wood-fired oven, fish and chips, burgers and hotdogs. And if that wasn’t enough, we also had delicious Snugberry’s ice creams with flavours includes vanilla, salted caramel, raspberry pavlova and a gin sorbet.
The day wasn’t just about having fun with colleagues and families, it was also about raising money for our chosen charities – Ronald McDonald House Birmingham and Sifa Fireside. Thanks to the generosity of our staff, our guests and our supply chain, we raised an incredible £1,640. This will be matched by the company giving a grand total of £3,280!
