Setting Out Engineer – Stoke-on-Trent
We are currently seeking a Setting Out Engineer with groundworks and civil engineering experience to join our team. Based on a University project in Stoke-on-Trent, you will join a fast pace, well organised working environment.
A laptop and setting out equipment will be provided.
To be considered for the role you must have:
- minimum 5 years appropriate setting out experience
- previous housing background
- proficiency using robotic EDM
- experience with GPS machine control and be able to produce models.
- proficiency using AutoCad
- machine control experience
- good communication skills
- good understanding of engineer and architects drawings
- ability to maintain effective relationships with customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- carrying out all necessary setting out correctly and accurately
- use of robotic equipment
- implementing relevant element of the inspection & test plan
- completing quality assurance checks and associated documentation
- preparing As Built Drawings
- records management
- attending relevant project meetings
Experience:
- engineering setting out: 5 years (required)
- GPS Machines: 5 years (required)
- CAD: 5 years (required)
- Commercial: 5 years (required)
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Stoke-on-Trent: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Working hours: 07.30 – 16.30
Rate is negotiable depending on experience.
