The Balfour Beatty UKCS Regional Civil Supply Chain Awards saw McDermotts presented with the Social Value award.
McDermotts and Balfour Beatty featured in BBC’s DIY SOS, where our groundwork teams volunteered to transform a derelict space of land into a community garden, with a space to grow vegetables.
With a battle against the elements of two storms including wind, rain and snow, DIY SOS presenter Nick Knowles thanked the volunteers as “their indomitable spirit through the worst storms was epic.”
At McDermotts, the recognition for social value celebrates our support for the communities in which we work. Joe McDermott, SHEQ Director, commented “We are honoured to have been awarded Balfour Beatty’s social value award. We are committed to adding social value to our communities by supporting projects and we look forward to continuing our support for customer projects in the future”.
