The New Walk Centre is a development on the site of former council offices in the centre of Leicester. The scheme consisted of two buildings. The first, a five-storey office block, was constructed with a central lightwell. Adjacent to this is the second building which has retail units on the ground floor and four levels of residential flats above. These two buildings are linked by a large underground car park. Both buildings overlook New Walk Circle, an ideal public realm area to relax from the rush of city life.

From the outset we were under pressure from the very tight programme. With other trades running late we changed our sequence of works to ensure no time was lost which resulted in the project successfully being completed on time.
