At McDermotts we have a commitment towards our people and the communities in which we work. We are dedicated to adding social value to our communities by supporting local charities and this Christmas we have supported Birmingham and Solihull Women’s Aid.

The charity provides frontline domestic violence and abuse support services to women and children in the Birmingham and Solihull area, their services include: a confidential helpline, drop-in centres, community outreach support, providing safe emergency refuge accommodation and they work with young people to raise awareness.

Staff at McDermotts have generously donated over 200 gifts, which include pamper and toiletry sets, hot water bottles, pyjamas, slippers, craft activities, soft toys, games and Christmas confectionery. Prior to Christmas the charity will distribute the gifts to families who are within refuges and the local community.
