We are proud to report that we have been awarded 4.5 stars out of 5 from the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) against their Code of Practice. The CCS is a national scheme designed to raise standards across all major construction sites.
A monitor from Considerate Constructors visited our head office as well as two of our sites. Each location was assessed against five key areas:
- Care about appearance
- Respect the community
- Protect the environment
- Secure everyone’s safety
- Value the workforce
Scoring highly across all five areas, we were particularly praised for the standard and quality of our plant, site safety and site management and the consideration we have for our workforce, other trade contractors and the public.
The introduction of the star ratings system provides an easily identifiable and quantifiable way for the public, local community and workforce to understand the extent to which sites and companies are performing against the Scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice.
Joe McDermott, SHEQ Director said, “We are delighted our efforts have been recognised by Considerate Constructors. A massive thank you goes out to all our teams who make sure we maintain the highest standards every day.”
