On Friday 7 October Managing Director Malcolm McDermott and Director Henry Gilbert became Chartered Fellows of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB.)
A graduation ceremony was held in London where CIOB Past President, Chris Chivers, congratulated those who had attained chartered status and spoke of the importance to maintain professionalism within the construction industry.
The CIOB is the world’s largest and most influential professional body for construction management and leadership; and Fellowship is the highest professional qualification available, recognising people who have worked at a senior level for a number of years.
Malcolm McDermott said, “To be awarded Chartered Fellowship is a great honour as it is recognition from your own peer group within the construction industry. We firmly believe in professional development and a number our project managers have already, or are about to, seek CIOB membership – which can only be good for them, McDermotts and our customers.”
