We were delighted to attend the Fosse Park autumn jobs fair at the Hilton hotel in Leicester on Friday.
The fair was being held as part of the ‘Recruit Fosse Park’ campaign which is a free recruitment programme set up by the owners of Fosse Park, The Crown Estate.
The aim of the fair is to connect the local community with new employment opportunities. The Crown Estate’s Community Partnerships Manager, Callum Simpson, hosted the event along with Fosse Shopping Park’s Centre Director, Adrian Young. Free shuttle buses were organised between Fosse Park and the Hilton to make the journey to the event as simple as possible for people living in the local area.
Resources and Facilities Manager Elaine Kirby and HR Coordinator Maria Valencia, hosted the McDermotts stand. They had the opportunity to speak with hundreds of job-seekers about joining the McDermotts team.
Elaine said of the event, “McDermotts wholeheartedly believe in recruiting individuals from the local area and so we were delighted to be given the opportunity to attend the fair and speak directly to job-seekers. We were impressed with the number and quality of candidates that approached us and have even shortlisted three people for our Site Administrator role, who will be interviewed this week. This just goes to show how important and effective these types of events are.”
