This years’ Summer Celebration was an afternoon filled with lots of fun and laughter, ice creams and waffles, a little competition and a lot of fundraising for charity.
There were games for all ages including laser clay pigeon shooting, target rifle shooting, a bouncy castle, reverse steer tractors, sumo suits, an obstacle course and a bungee run. Not forgetting the face painting, hook-a-duck, table football and a soft play area for toddlers.
To keep our energy levels up during the afternoon there was lots of food to choose from including freshly baked pizzas, a selection of curries, samosas and fries and if that wasn’t enough, we also had waffles and ice creams. Our favourite waffle was a fully loaded Eton Mess. That is a waffle with vanilla ice cream, fresh strawberries, meringues and strawberry sauce – yummy!
The day wasn’t just about having fun with colleagues and families, it was also about raising money for our chosen charities – The Alzheimer’s Society and Birmingham Mind. Thanks to the generosity of our staff, our guests and our supply chain, we raised an incredible £1,983.37!
