Fuelled for Féile Peil na nÓg: McDermotts supports Warwickshire GAA U15s on their journey

The Warwickshire GAA U15 Féile boys & girls teams recently returned from an unforgettable weekend representing their county at the prestigious Féile Peil na nÓg Gaelic Football Tournament, held at Ballerin GAA Club, County Derry.

McDermotts are very proud to have supported the team’s journey to the tournament, with sponsorship and provision of a transport vehicle, delivering both team’s equipment and helping to reduce the costs for families and creating a shared experience.

Tournament results:

Final panel selection brought together passionate and skilled players from five local clubs. Competing in Division 5 against teams from Derry, Waterford, and Leitrim, the boys went on a thrilling run: group winners, then victorious in a tense semi-final, before facing Gaultier GAA (Waterford) in the final.

The final was an exhilarating, end-to-end match with unwavering support from fans, families, and the local community. Though the team fell short by just a single point, their pride in performance and dedication spoke volumes.

Keith Sweeney, Lead Coach, shared: “What these boys achieved is bigger than any scoreboard. They showed determination, teamwork, and heart every minute of every game – they’ve made Warwickshire proud. We are also deeply grateful to everyone at McDermotts for backing our teams and believing in our academy approach. Your generosity made this journey possible, and helped foster memories that will last a lifetime.”
