Senior Setting Out Engineer – Commercial Groundworks – Leamington Spa

McDermotts is a family-founded groundworks and civil engineering business based in Birmingham, supporting some of the country’s biggest construction companies.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Setting Out Engineer – Commercial Groundworks with good groundworks knowledge to support our production team.

The successful candidate must have experience of setting out on commercial projects. You will also be required to compile information, complete parts of the QA folder and gather information for the production of as-built drawings.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and competent Site Engineer who would like to work on this prestigious project, located in Leamington Spa.

We are looking for someone willing to work hard and meeting the following criteria:

• External works
• Producing models and uploading onto GPS plant
• GPS setting out equipment
• Must be proficient in CAD and robotic equipment
• CSCS card
• Groundwork sub-contractor experience (Minimum 2 years)
• Good communication skills
• Be able to use a robotic instrument
• Professional Indemnity Insurance, minimum cover £2M
• Able to create and maintain as-built drawings
• Complete QA forms using FieldView

Experience:

• Engineering setting out: 5 years (required)
• Groundworks: 2 years (required)
• CSCS Card (required)
• Machine control experience would be an advantage

 

Site working hours: 07:30 – 17:00

Starting date: ASAP

Rate: negotiable depending on experience.

Contract length: 7 – 8 months

Location: the site is located in Leamington Spa
