Site Engineer / Surveyor – Middlewich

We’re seeking an experienced Site Engineer/Surveyor to join our dynamic civil engineering team, specialising in groundworks and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background as a Site Engineer/Surveyor within the construction sector, with proven experience.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Completing on site surveys for earthworks project
  • Checking and co-ordination of information inc drawings, specifications etc
  • Produce models showing as-built data along with updating existing 3D models
  • Completing QA information in line with ITP and specification
  • Use of Robotic Total Station for accurate site layout and verification
  • Operation and integration of 3D GPS machine control systems with plant and equipment
  • Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and design teams
  • Maintaining accurate records of site measurements and as-built data
  • Ensuring compliance with project drawings, specifications, and tolerances
  • Supporting QA processes and contributing to site safety and efficiency

 

Requirements:

  •  Proven experience in setting out for civil or building projects
  • Proficiency with Robotic Total Stations (e.g., Leica, Trimble)
  • Experience with 3D GPS machine control systems (Topcon, Leica)
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings and digital models
  • CSCS card (Engineer level or higher)
  • Relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or similar)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and digital setting out software
  • Proven experience in earthworks and producing models

  

Desirable:

  • SSSTS or SMSTS certification
  • Experience working on large civils projects with focus on earthworks

 

Job type: Full-time, Contract

Working hours: 07:30 – 17:00
