Supporting a local food bank

We supported a local food bank’s collection and delivery of food to the elderly and vulnerable during the current restrictions.

We are delighted to share that we have been certified by NQA to the ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems standard which builds upon our overarching value of Integrity, 3Ps commitment, and legal duty to protect the health, safety & welfare of our employees and those working on our behalf.

After a year of fundraising throughout the business for our 25th anniversary, we managed to raise enough money to be able to give both of our chosen charities, Ronald McDonald House and SIFA Fireside, £25,000 each.

Over the last two months we have been busy purchasing and donating supplies for St Basils’ Christmas shoebox appeal.

We were delighted to attend the Fosse Park autumn jobs fair at the Hilton hotel in Leicester on Friday which was held as part of the ‘Recruit Fosse Park’ campaign which is a free recruitment programme set up by the owners of Fosse Park, The Crown Estate.

Last week we hosted a golf day at Walmley Golf Club to celebrate our 25th Anniversary.

Earlier this month Bobby Friel, Joe McDermott and Kevin Hogan took on the 1,000km Monkey Run in Peru.

The 25th anniversary celebrations continued on Saturday when sixteen of McDermotts’ bravest staff travelled to Wales to take on the Velocity 2 zip wire challenge.

McDermotts was founded in August 1994, so to celebrate our birthday month we organised daytime celebrations for our colleagues across all of our sites and head office.
